Shyfter vs Skello: which scheduling software for teams in Belgium?

In brief: Skello and Shyfter both cover scheduling, a time clock and leave. Skello is a French vendor whose Belgian site exists in French only. In Belgium, Shyfter stands out on four points: support from Belgium, in French and Dutch, with a human reply in 4 minutes on average; Dimona, which Skello does not file today according to its own FAQ; Belgian rules (joint committee 302, daily Dimona, Check-in at Work), which Skello does not mention; and synchronisation with social secretariats, where Skello prepares a report to send them. And as soon as you run several sites, Shyfter becomes much cheaper: a few euros per additional site, against usually the full price with Skello.
We make Shyfter, so we are not neutral. For Skello, we only use what its Belgian site shows on 8 November 2026, with sources. We also say when Skello is the better fit.

Support, where Shyfter makes the difference
You use scheduling software every day, often in a rush: a sick employee to replace before service, a Dimona to correct, an export that fails the day before payroll closes. What matters then is how fast you reach someone who understands the problem.
Shyfter support is run by a team based in Belgium that works with Dimona, flexi-jobs and social secretariats every day. A human replies in 4 minutes on average, in French or Dutch, by chat or email, and by phone from the Standard plan. Onboarding is included in every plan: an expert sets up your social secretariat, your rules and the import of your teams with you.
Skello advertises 24/7 technical support and a dedicated contact for the Belgian market. When you choose, ask both vendors the same question: who answers me, in which language, and how fast?
The other differences in Belgium
Dimona. Skello’s Belgian FAQ answers « Pas aujourd’hui » to the question of whether it files Dimona declarations. In Shyfter, the Dimona is created when you publish the shift or sign the contract.
Belgian rules. Skello’s Belgian site describes alerts on overtime, rest periods and overlapping shifts, set up at onboarding. It does not mention joint committee 302, the daily Dimona (ASA) or Check-in at Work. Shyfter includes them, along with flexi-jobs and students and their Dimona.
Social secretariat. Skello describes a report ready to send to Partena, Acerta, Group S or SD Worx. Shyfter synchronises worked hours with most Belgian social secretariats, including Securex, Liantis and Attentia. See payroll preparation.
Dutch. Skello has no Dutch version. Shyfter works in Dutch and French, for managers and in the employee app.
Price of scheduling plus time clock. Skello requires its Duo plan, from €99 per month. Shyfter combines staff scheduling and the time clock in the Basic plan, at €59 per month excl. VAT.
Several sites. The gap widens sharply with more than one site. According to the quotes our customers show us, Skello usually charges the full price for each site. With Shyfter, an additional site costs only a few euros per month: for a group of three or four restaurants, the difference adds up to hundreds of euros a year.
When to choose Skello
Skello makes sense if your business is mainly in France and your teams speak French, or if you are a group of more than 200 employees looking for a tailored Enterprise plan.
When to choose Shyfter
Shyfter is made for you if you want Belgian support that answers fast and in your language, if you want the Dimona to start from the schedule, if you fall under joint committee 302 or Check-in at Work, or if your hours must reach your social secretariat directly.
